The structure of Lviv’s residential streets has been shaped for centuries, and it continues to be in transition, often clashing with the modern pace of life and the modern requirements and demands with regards to building design. Rational use of building land within the historical center of Lviv, along with the area close to Pohulianka park, is quite a challenge faced by urban designers and architects. Especially when it comes to a triangularly shaped area located at crossroads. One particular solution for this challenge is a six-floored residential building with 22 apartments, office space and an underground parking.
Our company’s designers not only optimally placed the modern building into that area, but they also managed to keep an exterior wall of a building dated with late ХІХ century. This architectonic solution was made possible even despite a planned demolition of the historical building which was not subject to reconstruction.
Currently, this project is in the final designing stage and might become an example of combining modern architecture, history and commercial appeal.
